About

Hello! My name is Rhys! I am in my 20s and my pronouns are they/them. I like to say I'm an avid roleplayer with spirit. I have been around since Chatzy and Tumblr SuperWhoLock.

3 THINGS I LOVE:
+ Whump/Angst (Hurt/Comfort)
+ Idiots in Love (RomCom)
+ String of Fate/Reincarnation
I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP:
★ Kylux
+ Johnlock
+ Obitine

MAIN FANDOMS:
★ Sherlock (BBC)
+ Gotham (TV)
★ Star Wars
I have a foot in a lot of fandoms and have roleplayed in so many of them. At the moment these are my main three.Discord is available for roleplaying!

Important: As it is affecting my roleplays as of late, it must sadly be said. Unfortunately, I have been diagnosed with something that is ruining my memory. I forget things a lot. Not little things either. I take no offense to nudges and reminders. I also take extensive notes as we rp to help myself. I think it is fair to come out with this since it is a growing concern.

RP INFO

GOD MODDING: Number one rule is no God Modding. Ever. I can excuse a little here and there if it is part of your character's powers or needed for the story, but beyond that please no.MINORS: I do not roleplay with Minors. I am in my 20s and wish to RP with other adults. Not to mention I roleplay NSFW content often. Minor safety is of the highest importance!!OC + VERSES: I am Original Character and Crossover Friendly. I'm open to all. I do ask if you have a character sheet, shoot it at me. If not, that is okay too!SHIPPING: I ship based on chemistry. If we vibe or our muses vibe, by all means, we can start that conversation! This does not include plotted ships such as Kylux.

NSFW: Basic consent is very important to me as a Roleplayer. Whether it be the filthiest smut you can think of or the most gruesome death imaginable. Consent first. Talk to me Out of Character about it.TRIGGERS: Active triggers, just like NSFW, must be discussed prior to roleplay. This includes, but not limited to, gore, -isms, and abuse. For a more in-depth explanation of specific NSFW and TRIGGERS, please ask.I DO NOT TOLERATE: I will not stand for ooc xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, racism, or sexism.OOC TALK: I love to do it! I will comment on things going on in the rp and get all giddy about a plot. If this is not wanted, please tell me. I take no offense to it.

EXPECTATIONS: I personally do not mind what literary style, level, or expression is used when roleplaying with me. I love all styles.

OPEN COMMUNICATION: I have an open-door-like policy I like to keep. If at any time I seem to be falling ooc or the roleplay just isn’t hitting, talk to me! I do not bite and I am always looking for ways to improve. (Within Reason of Course!)RP TRACKER RULES: You must be in an active roleplay to be able to access the RP TRACKER. You may not use said document for harassment. If you break this rule you will be blocked and the rp will be dropped immediately.

RESPONSE TIME: I have about 5 or more rps going across several platforms. I try to pace myself in order of response and my own availability. If you are looking for a partner that can quick-fire back and forth, I am most likely not the best partner. Above all, real life takes priority for me. I must sleep during the day.All in all, I can be kind of slow in replying. The estimated timeframe can be between 1 to 3 days.

MY STYLE I like to focus on the details of the setting and how my character feels about as many things as possible. Not always to flow the plot, but to learn about each other’s characters. I also usually double-up, as in will play background characters.I do not use italics solely for movements or speech as I find that hard on my eyes.My personal goal is to hit 200 to 400 words (or more) per post. My secondary goal is to expand my vocabulary and phrasing.

BLOCKING/DROPPING: Unless a rule is breached or I am in danger, I will never drop a thread. That is my promise. My initial move is to always reach out, and I hope my partner does the same.PAUSING: Things happen, and I don't mind if we have to pause a thread. If possible and safe, just inform me.

Most Recent Audition

Below is my most recent Audition. I have quite a few others too. To me, this one shows a great example of how I start my starters. I usually never start at the endpoint. I work my way up, diving into how my Muse feels and the area around them, then land with an opening dialog and the endpoint. Most of my responses are formatted the same way. This specific example would fall under my definition of a Novella.
It is about 1,000 words / 7,000 characters.

William did not know the time, nor did he care as he walked the oddly busy night streets of 10th Street. He felt no inclination to think about his surroundings — nothing at all seemed worthy of his thoughts for once. People passed by him briskly and he hardly noticed them; the night was chilly but there was no wind; a light rain had begun to come down, and he saw people hurrying through the wet streets with umbrellas raised overhead. The buildings on either hand were tall and stately, built of gray stone. He does not know when, but he eventually wound up where he always does; a bar. While the place did not look like his usual stomping grounds, it did look promising. The building was old-fashioned and smallish, yet handsome, and the simple sign over the door proclaimed: "The Blue Moon." It looked good enough, and William knew that if he went home now without having drunk himself into oblivion, he would have accomplished nothing. He was wondering for distraction, and this looked like a good enough place.Getting in was as easy as showing an ID. Thankfully it was not one of those picky places that required you to not only act rich but look it as well. William would have failed that test tonight. He has chosen such casual clothing it was almost painful to see his personality: black ripped jeans, dark green and wrinkled flannel shirt, and hiking boots with dry mud from last night still plastered on them. He looked most suited for the woods than a bar or lounge. Yet here he was, entering The Blue Moon.He was met immediately with the smell of beer, tobacco smoke, and cheap perfume. Then there were the hints of sweat, body odor, and hairspray. All these combined made a strong impression upon William's wolf-like senses. Not overwhelming, but most certainly made his nose crinkle as he looked around. The place almost reminded him of the bar back in Della, just smaller and looked more suited for a happier crowd. There was what looked like a small stage to the left with a piano and someone fiddling about as if preparing for a show. William could care less however as he is not a music kind of guy. Surrounding the stage were leather chairs and tables filled with people. To the right was the bar itself, which was long and thin. It looked well stocked though and that was all that mattered. It was not until he got halfway across the room that he began truly noticing the clientele. Most were dressed casually like himself, but many others wore suits or ties. Some were smoking cigars while others sipped cocktails. One group of men even stood out as they were drinking something that looked like orange soda, mixed with ice. William could smell it from across the room and it was citrusy yet smokey. He decided that is what he wanted as he reached the bar and took a seat on the wooden stool. It took too long but at last, he got the drink he was trying to describe the female bartender. The citrusy orange hit just right as he took his first few sips. There was something else that hit just right as well. A piano key. Then another. His ears tuned in, and he turned to face the stage as the one from earlier now looked ready to put on a show. William is not one to judge by looks but the one on stage was not hard on the eyes. That was for sure- especially with the halo of light surrounding the other as the lights dimmed. It highlighted the other’s hair like a beacon. The louder tables from earlier hushed to quiet murmurs as the first note began.Once again, William is not a musical man. Preferring the sounds of nature over the sounds of human vocalizations. However, as he listened to the melancholy words being sung out he found himself lost within the words of a story. In some ways, he could identify to the sense of bracing for the worst-case scenario. Maybe not an Atom Bomb, but something more realistically equivilant. As the song progressed so did the mood of the bar. With each verse sung, the atmosphere grew heavier and deeper. Like a fog rolling in from the mountains, the whole place fell under its spell and the singer’s enchanting voice. Then something odd happened- the singer and him locked eyes. His brown, almondy eyes met stunning emerald ones. He felt his breath hitch as their gazes held. An odd sensation ran up and down William's spine as time seemed to stop as he swore the other winked at him! Was he dreaming? Or hallucinating? Whatever the case, he was now fully keen on watching this singer. Like some of the people closer to the stage, he too melted each time those eyes looked at him again. From feeling like he was being personally serenaded to being looked over, Will became flustered. He was always such an easy one to do this to. If his friends could see him now they'd be laughing at how rosey his face was getting. When the song ended, he watched as the man on stage got surrounded by what he assumed were admirers as applause boomed through the small area. He had heard of singers who had devoted fans but had never seen anything quite like it before. William then realized that he had been holding his breath. Taking in a deep breath, he exhaled and tried to clear his mind. It worked somewhat but his thoughts kept wandering to the song and the singer. So much so, that he had forgotten his purpose in coming to The Blue Moon.Watching from afar as the crowd became sedated, he noticed the apricot-haired man coming his way. Panic set in when he saw the smile on the man's face as he walked straight toward him. What should I do? What should I do?! William reflected to himself. He quickly snatched the neglected drink and turned to face the bar. His heart was beating and his palms were sweating as he chugged the rest of his drink.William tensed as the talented man thought the ideal location to enjoy a beer was next to him. As he smelled the air, his instincts took over and he honed in on the man's motions. Even when he wasn't on stage, he had the wolf's undivided attention. And the stranger had to know as their gazes connected once again. William was certain he seemed apprehensive. The man's voice sounded just as silky and seductive while he was singing. At least, that's how Will heard it as he thought how to answer. Surprised was an odd choice in wording to William. He did not feel like he was surprised. He was more along the lines of enthralled and enamored by the performance. There was not a pleasant way to correct someone in the human language however so he did not say that and just nodded.“I was,” He agreed. “You are very talented.”Today, his accent was kicking up his vowels and dragging them out more than he would like. Despite his newfound embarrassment, he proceeded. "As for you not seeing me around, I'm new. I'm not new to bars, just to this one. I was simply passing by and was like why not have a drink-," William came to when he realized he was rambling. Another embarrassment to add to the list he was growing. He was not expecting all this just from a night of escapism. Quickly he tried to recover by simply introducing himself. He outstretched his left hand like he has been taught to do.“William. William Bodford.” He stuttered.
